becoming a part of rxe, i feel as though i have died a sweet and noble death and been reincarnated as a promiscuous killer whale, born in a killer whale breeding facility.
this whale then spends 15 years of its life humping everything, and on the fifteenth day of the fifteenth year of it's life he is casted in Free Willy as the whale jumping over the rock pier and a fist pumping jason richter.

Gamma Chi throws amazing parties, hands down. There're always cool people to talk to, plenty of booze, and lots of debauchery. However, many of the members would rather smoke cigarettes and drink while pining about the latest obscure movie that came out than do any real service. And no, I don't count playing concerts in basements or coffee shops as service. Gamma was never really meant to be Greek in the first place though, so it makes sense. As far as leadership goes, obtaining a position is more a popularity contest than a matter of who actually has good leadership skills, so that can all go fuck itself. Also blackball is evil.

Gamma Chi is nothing but a family of loving, welcoming, incestual, crazy, dysfunctional people who make a very special mark on the world. Every Gamma I've encountered, I love to shreds. They may party a whole hell of a lot, but they are the most genuine group of people I've met at Geneseo. Gamma Chi is an organization like no other. What makes it so unique is its diversity. I've never met such a large group of people where every individual is preserved. Keep on all you crazy fucks, you're awesome.

Gamma Chi is like a toilet, but a really good toilet. Have you ever seen one of those toilets from Japan, the ones that play little tunes and have integrated heated bidets and look like Captain Kirk's chair on the Enterprise? Gamma Chi is like one of those. It's something you really respect and even covet, but you still piss and shit in/on/around it. That's what Gamma Chi is like.

I went to a gamma party as a first semester freshman, and never had the urge to go anywhere else. It was always just a fun bunch of guys and gals, they weren't trying to impress anyone, they played great music, and the most dangerous thing I could ever imagine happening at an open party would be someone offering you a cookie with nuts you're allergic to or something.
In terms of service, up until recently I would say it was a haphazardly thrown together attempt to do good, but with recent fundraisers bringing in a substantial amount of money, I really do have faith that the Gammas can do some good.
Also, I have never laughed harder than when a member belly-danced for all the greeks in the IB. Probably the greatest moment of my life.

We can't bust heads like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to tell 'em stories that don't go anywhere - like the time I caught the ferry over to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe, so, I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em. Give me five bees for a quarter, you'd say.

Now where were we? Oh yeah: the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

Gamma chi is amazing, the leadership opportunities and community service are paramount! I was able to get my highest ever GPA at Geneseo while serving in gamma chi in no less than 4 different positions all during the same semester. Highly recommended. The parties also rocked back when I went to school there, they are slightly less awesome now and slightly more clothed.
